I am committed to making  my consultations as affordable as possible, ensuring families have access to high-quality breastfeeding and lactation support.  My goal is to support parents in their feeding journey without financial barriers standing in the way. 

As I am an endorsed Registered Midwife, you will be able to claim Medicare rebates for both antenatal and postnatal breastfeeding and lactation consultations if you have a current Medicare card.

You can claim rebates for antenatal consultations when you are pregnant, and postnatal consultations in the first six weeks after your baby is born.

Therefore, your out-of-pocket expense is heavily reduced, or even bulk billed. 

Please enquire about fees if your baby is older than 7 weeks as Medicare rebates are no longer applicable.

All initial consultations require 40-90 minutes duration.

Postnatal consultation - 90 minutes, in person

Full fee before Medicare rebate:      $220

Medicare rebate:                          $158.75

Out of pocket expense:            $61.25

Postnatal consultation - 40 minutes, telehealth or phone

Full fee before Medicare rebate:      $120

Medicare rebate:                          $105.85 

Out of pocket expense:            $14.15

Antenatal consultation -  60 minutes, in person

Full fee before Medicare rebate:      $160

Medicare rebate:                          $72

Out of pocket expense:            $88

Antenatal consultation - 40 minutes, telehealth and phone

Full fee before Medicare rebate:     $100

Medicare rebate:                         $72

Out of pocket expense:           $28

All initial consultations include one month of unlimited text message and email support.

Medicare Safety Net 

Medicare rebates may be higher if you have reached your annual Original Medicare Safety Net or Extended Medicare Safety Net, further reducing your out of pocket expense.

You can check your Safety Net status by visiting the Services Australia website or call Medicare on 132 011. 

For when you need further assistance.

Follow up consultations often require a shorter attendance. 

Whether in person or via telehealth or phone call, these consultations are bulk billed.

This means you have no out of pocket expense for these.
